Château Lagrange
The robe presents a magnificent deep, bright colour with bluish and purplish tints. The nose expresses a great freshness with aromas of black and red fruits. In the palate, a powerful structure in the attack reveals velvety and elegant aromas. This is a very full, plump vintage with a remarkable framework. The finish is long and sappy. The 2004 could well be among the best ever vintages of Lagrange.

A wine that balances its freshness with deep layers of black fruits. Acidity and black currants work well together. Lagrange is over-performing at the moment: an estate that once made correct wines now offers excitement as well.

Wine Advocate
This backward, tannic, strikingly oaky St.-Julien reveals a big structure as well as copious power and muscle, and a modern-styled combination of ripe fruit and new oak. While it requires a few years of bottle age to shed its cloak of tannin, and develop more Bordelais character, it possesses plenty of stuffing, and may turn out to be outstanding with additional time in bottle. Patience is warranted. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2025.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
